Facility Description

The Sports Medicine Facility is used by the sports medicine staff to help prevent, diagnose, and treat athletically-related injuries sustained by Regis College student-athletes. It includes four treatment tables, two taping stations and two hydrotherapy whirlpools. The facility also includes space for modality use such as moist heat therapy, cold compression therapy using Gameready and Kelvi units, therapeutic ultrasound, electromuscular stimulation, biofeedback, and intermittent compression using Normatec products as well as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization tools. The facility has a wide variety of rehabilitation equipment available for student-athlete use. The sports medicine staff also utilizes the Mary Carr-Simone Fitness Center, the weight room, Higgins Court, the team room, and swimming pool for rehabilitation purposes.
