Chris Ikier Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

WESTON, Mass. - Chris Ikier has been hired by the Regis Athletic Department to serve as assistant athletic trainer. Ikier comes to Regis from Mount Ida College, where he served in the same role for the past two seasons.

"I'd like to thank (Dean of Athletics) Pam Roecker and (Assistant Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer) Ron LeClair for the opportunity to join the Regis College Athletics staff," said Ikier. "I am really excited to get started and work with great athletes and great co-workers."

Regis will be Ikier's third Great Northeast Athletic Conference school, as he is a 2016 graduate of Lasell College. He was a four-year member of the Laser men's lacrosse program, captaining the team as a senior. Ikier has also been on the athletic training staff for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse for the past three seasons.

"We’re excited to bring Chris on board," said LeClair. "His experience as both a GNAC athlete and athletic trainer give him a great perspective on what it takes to be successful in our conference. His professionalism and desire to continue to progress as a professional will be a great asset to our department and I look forward to having him get to know our staff and student-athletes as well as the Regis College community."

Originally a native of Burlington, Mass., Ikier currently resides in Natick.
